Want to get a tattoo but my parents will go ape on me if they see anything of the sort. So i was looking for suggestions on where i could get one without it being noticed.

Why bother? You will potentially end up getting a tattoo where you really don't want one just to say you have a tattoo. It isn't worth it and how can we tell you where to hide it? We don't know if you're male/female or what clothes you will be wearing.

Wait a few years or disobey your parents authority but otherwise dont get one.

I had a half sleeve for years before my parents saw it, they also haven't seen my backpiece or the stars on my stomach, I think porn_star'll chime in about them not knowing about her side piece or her back. Just be creative about what you wear and remember bigger is better don't get a crappy small tattoo.

Ok- First piece of advice, don't ask people what to get tattooed or where to get tattooed. It's stupid, like if I tell you to get something tattooed on your ass are you going to do it just because it'll be safe to say your parents won't see it.
Anyways, Emmet's right, my parents don't know about my tattoos and I managed to hide piercings from them for ages.. I hid the majority of my ear piercings for years and my they only say the transdermals in my wrist last month. People are constantly asking me how they haven't noticed mine yet, but it's not like I go around my house without any clothes on or taking my top off for my mother :rolleyes:
Anyways, think about where you want it for yourseld, hiding them isn't a problem, once you don't get something written across your forehead! And if they do find out, then they'll deal with it.

But don't go getting some ****ty tattoo for the sake of getting a tattoo, make sure you want it and your HAPPY with the placement, don't let whether your parents are going to find out your main concern. If thats the case, then wait til they can deal with it..which will be never if they're anything like my parents, so just do it anyways if that's the case

I just said to my parents "hey look im going to get this done, heading into town now, il be back with a new addition!" they werent happy but they learned to live with it also depends how old you are.
I find its just best to tell em straight out, but then again my parents are diferrent to yours. good luck with it

My mum actually offered to pay for the second one of mine (damned jobless college summers... ).

I'd have to echo the sentiments so far in that: Who are you getting it for, you or those around you? If you're getting it for you then you'll already know yourself what design you want and where on your body, otherwise you're wasting your time as you're seeking to have someone else's personality stamped onto yourself in a fairly permanent method, might as well get a random person's name as a tattoo.
If it is for you and really seems important to you try talk it over with your parents beforehand and explain your reasons, they'll undoubtedly appreciate that you spoke to them first (my mum is still slightly irritated with my sister for the week of going around faking yawns, leaning her head on her hand etc... after getting a piercing below her lip and that was about 2 years back), and if they're reasonable people the worst case scenario would be that they'll tell you to wait a while first, which if you're serious about getting the tattoo shouldn't be a big thing.
Think that might be the reason my mum offered to give me the money for my second tattoo, I'd previously let her know that I was planning to get another, that and like the first it's somewhere that won't affect job interview chances (the one BIG issue for my parents regarding them), the fact that she liked/likes the first one probably helped a bit too.
Not quite sure how her and my dad will feel about the other 6 I want to get, particularly since one's on the face (here's hoping the titanium white UV ink thing will work out, otherwise have to wait until retirement since long term unemployment is not a lifestyle I want).
The way you're so concerned over what your parents would think/say leaves me wondering if you might be under 18? If so you may have a hard time getting anyone decent to tattoo you anyway.

Ohh, and stay well clear of anything band/person (other than yourself*)/team related, no guarantee you'll still feel that "... rawk"! or that "... and you = BFF", etc... in ten or twenty years time.
*we'll assume you'll still be on speaking terms with yourself in twenty years! lol*

Thanks a lot you guys. I would love to get one,i dont just want to get it for the sake of getting one. Im also going to come up with the design myself so it will be original. I have gotten a lot of piercing,most of which my parents havent noticed yet like my lip piercing.
Its easy enough to hide, but think im just scared they will freak if they find out. I will get one at some stage, sooner rather than later i hope. I'll will probably just go for it and deal with my parents later:P Thanks everyone.
