Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mobile phone prices in Ireland, why are we so screwed over?

    I was getting all excited for the Nokia 6131, thought it'd be around the 250-300 mark... I find that on Expansys.ie it's €454!!!

    In Italy it's 279, in Finland it's 277, in Russia it's $410... what the hell is wrong with Ireland???

    At this rate, it'd work out cheaper to book a weekend holiday in Italy and come back with a new sim-free phone! :mad: :eek: :(:confused:

    yes irish prices are way too high.but thats irish retailers that want to make money.:D .

    its our job to look around for cheaper deals

    Expansys is a UK company, is it not? If it's SIM free you're looking for, surely you can just buy the phone anywhere online? No need to travel to Italy, like.

    I think Expansys has an Irish branch too (their url does end in .ie) Here's their online price...

    so €454 is the online price.

    Retail would probably cost even more!

    Costs £299.95 on Expansys.co.uk which is 381.494e. perhaps you should buy it from their if your not happy

    Thanks... unfortunately I don't have a credit card (was just looking at the online prices to get an idea of what the retail stores' prices would be)... that's why I might have a little holiday in Italy and get the phone there :D
