Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'm shocked that so many people have Alonso in their team. To be honest I think his performances since Christmas have looked very tired and laboured in the most part, not surprising seeing as he had only just come back from a broken ankle and has played almost 14 months of solid football.

    Expect some stick for throwing Kewell in there but thought he played very well this season, especially when playing with Riise down the left. Good understanding between the two. Thought alonso, Sissoko and reina deserved a mention too but didn't want it to look like a liverpool 11. Vds also done well this year. Wasn't sure about robbie keane but he did impress second half of the season so Rooney gets shoved back to play off him and Henry.The usual chelski suspects and my token newcastle choice make up the rest.

    He hasn't had a great season. He made a few mistakes this year and, while he doesn't let in many goals, just look at the back four he has in front of him. Not to mention Makele.

    Compare that with Given who's had to have Boumsong and the rest of that farce Newcastle call a defence in front of him. He was the only reason that they weren't hammered 4 or 5 nil in some games.

    That's more down to us keeping tracks on Given than us being biased. He has been the best keeper in the premiership this season. I was actually suprised it took 7 teams for Given to even get a mention. I seen a stat the other day and I very suprised. Shay Given has a catch success rate of 98%, better than anyone in the premiership (I think Reina and Robinson were in the 80's). The only negative about Given is his height because he's better than most keepers with the likes of shot stopping, agility, etc.
