Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We're under starters orders for the summer of test cricket...

Surprisingly, this is Murali's first test at Lord's. Looks like all seam too... Plunkett, Mahmood and Lewis joining Flintoff and Hoggard, so Monty might miss out.

Its a pity fewer can see it. :(

England currently 317-3. Trescothick made 106, Ali cook had a great innings of 89, and KP is currently on 54 no. England are playing very well and are looking goood for the win.

I was that man, once. I still hate Murdoch with every fibre. On the other hand, showing cricket from around the world make up for it. :/

Okay its not really principle - its the X hundred Euro a year for the pleasure (though I hate the way Skys cash is so dominant and The Dirty Diggers shmozing of China too!).

Just back from a fantastic day at Lords - Brilliant weather some good batting on what was really a placid pitch , Sri Lankan bowling didnt seem to offer much in relation to bowling apart from Vass and Murali - looking at it today i reckon da series will be over before i get to see a test match again - Trent Bridge Day 2,- 5

England 400/4, KP 101*. Can't watch any of it (nothing to do with my hate of Rupert Murdoch, more to do with the fact I'm in Germany) but whenever KP makes a big score I can't help but think he's been dropped a couple of times along the way.

england on course for a huge 1st innings total

Yeah, England should make 600+ today with an hour to bowl at the Sri Lankans tonight. An hour of Pietersen and Freddy would be fun!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,579 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    Eng 551/6 dec

    Sri Lanka currently 88/6
    Mahmood 9/3

At end of 4th day: Sri Lanka 381-6 and lead by 22 runs.

I reckon this one might be headin' for a draw.Magnificent cricket from Jayawardene, but it'll be criminal if England end up letting this slip.

Sri-Lanka lead by 132 with 2 wickets in hand.

Draw was 11-4 at lunch, now evens :-(

Pity they didn't put up a few more in their 1st innings. Murali defending a tempting target on a 5th day pitch would be well worth a look.
