Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a laptop & video camera for my wife, she intends to use it to video individual students at dance classes, She wants to do a clip of each student at the beginning & end of the course, burn it & give as dvd/cd to each student.

I've got sound advice on the spec of the laptop (from board members of course!) so I'm sorted on that front, but suggestions for vc & if I need any additional software, would be appreciated.

I'm not looking for hi-end editing s/w but something that wifey can do all by her self (iykwim)

for what she intends on doing you can pick up a pretty cheap digital camcorder for a couple of hundred that will meet her requirements. I like sony but the choice is yours - it will have a firewire digital output port. Digital-in may come with it, doesn't matter that much
