Chinese wrecks around Ireland

My cousin's neighbour (convoluted I know) is convinced there are some 15th century Chinese junks wrecked off the southeast coast. He's a bit if an amateur marine historian so I'm taking the old man's claims at face value. Has anyone heard similar tall tales?

Doesn't sound like anyting that one could dive, though.
