Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

is there any way to lock the keypad without sliding open and shut?

The way I have it set up, and after a day or so I'm so used to it I don't even notice myself locking the phone is to do this.
Have "Go To" as your left softkey option.
When you open up the "Go To" menu, select "Options".
    Then "Select Options"
Around the middle, number 20, is "Lock Keypad"
Check it, save and then "Organise"
Move "Lock Keypad" to the top of the menu.

Now I just hit the left softkey and then the middle button to lock, opposite to unlock.

How much does it cost to get the phone flashed? I'd like to be able to flash it myself, but sure, anything to get the original firmware on it.

As its a new phone, software upgrades are provided free of charge for the first year by Nokia service centres.

To flash it you need special hardware, cables and software which will costs €000s

The latest Release 3 of Symbian OS does include provision for firmware flashing over the air, no current Nokia phone supports this (yet?), its a pity because Sony Ericsson's update service works very well and is free.
