I have just been advised by builder that I can prepare snag list
at the end of the week.
The builder is O'Malleys in Galway (good reputation I'm told) so
is it sufficient to check it with a mate or shud I get someone qualified and
if so who does that type of work.???
    Thanks

I'd get someone who knows their stuff regardless of the builders reputation.

Have a look on myhome.ie . I think they have a list of them in your area

    Quite right.

What you could in the meantime if you have access to the house is yourself and your mate do up your own snag list and then get someone with a bit of expertise to check the roof etc. Give him a copy of your own list.

Things you could be checking yourself are windows, doors etc but certainly leave the structural stuff to a professional

If you PM me your email address, I'll forward you a copy of the snag list I received last year from my surveyor.

Believe me when you see it there is stuff on there you would never have thought of.

    Its money well spent.

I did some work on the website in the past ... they seem like decent people.
