Aw this is fookin brilliant. The song was pretty good although the eurovision is a joke and everyone knows it. most of lordis votes were only sent in for a laugh id say cos people didnt wanna vote for all the other cack on display.

Perhaps we're witnessing a new chapter in the eurovision?

We had a eurovision party and all voted for Lordi cause they rock. I got the impression that metal fans would be voting for lordi, what with all the publicity and all for the band.

Im delighted that Lordi won, but don't you think that theres gonna be a massive bandwagon created from this? The Linda Martins of other countries will probably think "oh, we need some new type of song, lets bring out something exactly like Lordi!".

People are already saying Mael Mordha should enter next year. Too late IMO

Damn this song never get's tiring.

Though it would be really cool if every country entered a rock/metal group next year...would definatly make the contest worth watching.

yeah agree, i've been listening to it on average once every 2 days since the euro's and actually liking it more and more. It really is actually a pretty quality song, not just a novelty.

Lordi - For life, not just for christmas.

So are Porcupine Tree, and PT > ND

Sonata Arctica for Finland! Opeth/Meshuggah for Sweden! Rhapsody for Italy!

[edit] Just thought of Dragonforce, that would be interesting!

Was Hard Rock Hallelujah written solely for the Eurovision?

Was Hard Rock Hallelujah written solely for the Eurovision?
No, it appears on their latest album The Arockalypse, along with their other potential Eurovision song Bringing Back The Balls To Rock.

But I recall someone saying that Hard Rock Hallelujah was only added to the the 'Arockalypse' album afte the Eurovision, and that, after reading the lyrics, the whole song is apparently about them coming and wining the Eurovision.

Was Hard Rock Hallelujah written solely for the Eurovision?

It was. YLE Television approached Lordi and asked them if they would consider writing a song for Eurovision and perform it. It was added to the album, The Arockalypse, later. The rest is history....
