    Just saw this, and I think its a good idea. They, by right, should have done this up the North as well, as somewhere off Donegal, seemingly there's lots of oil/gas.

    Of do you think, that, as per usual, they'll somehow fuxor it up, and leave us shortchanged?

    Should we do a Bolivia and nationalise it?
    Its rather disgraceful that the taxpayer gets nothing from the prospected billions of euro worth in oil and gas out in those new fields.

    In a joint submission to the United Nations Spain, France and the United Kingdom have joined Ireland in a bid to secure control of the area known as the Celtic Shelf. The area is some 200 nautical miles from shore.

    Should the government send a gunboat? ;) Keep it all!
