Whats that date you ask? It is the last time someone posted a message on the cork linux user group's page. Linux is free, easy to set-up these days and offers great potenial for home and business user's alike.

If anyone in cork is interested in helping me setup a new linux and open-source group in cork please PM me, im thinking a group that can meet regulary and maybe install linux for the less linux experienced users, help/try get hardware working etc.

The LUG's webpages are off-putting, and don't represent the actual activity of the LUG's around the country. Subscribe to the mailing lists to get a better idea of the level of activity. However, if you still want to try set up your own LUG: Try the Unix(And Linux) forum. And good luck!
