Round Six of the Ireland Players’ Championship will be staged at the Commons Inn Hotel, Mallow Road, Cork, on the June Bank Holiday Weekend in conjunction with the Cork Festival of Darts.

The Ireland Players’ Championship is a new competition for darts players from all parts of the country and since it’s inauguration last January more than two hundred players from Northern Ireland and the Republic have competed in the first five rounds.

These competitions have been staged at different venues throughout the country and to date almost € 10,000 has been paid out in prize money.
Rankings points have been awarded at each of the rounds and after the six rounds have been completed the Top 32 on the Rankings List will be invited to compete in the Grand Finals in the Springhill Court Hotel, Kilkenny, on Sunday, August 27th.

In total it is expected that almost € 16,000 will be paid out in prize money.
The final round of matches will be played in Cork on Sunday, June 4th., and entry forms for same may be downloaded from the Darts in Ireland website at www.dartsinireland.com or by contacting Michael O’Sullivan at 087-2648291.
Participants are reminded that the closing date for receipt of entries is Tuesday, May 30th., and that no entries will be accepted on the day of the competition.

In conjunction with the Players’ Championship there will be three other competitions at the Cork venue over the Bank Holiday weekend.
On Saturday evening at 8.00pm there will be an ‘Open Draw’ Doubles competition at 8.00pm and on Sunday there will be separate Singles competitions for Youths Under-18 and for Ladies.

Entries for these competitions will be accepted at the venue.
