    ULSTER COUNTIES (EAST) SMALLBORE SHOOTING ASSOCIATION
    2006 LONG RANGE & COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS

    COMBER RANGE, BALLYGRAFFAN ROAD, COMBER

    Friday 12th May 2006 4-00 p.m. to Dusk
    Saturday 13th May 2006 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last detail)

    INDIVIDUAL LONG RANGE CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS on Saturday at 4-30 p.m.

    ENTRIES TAKEN ON THE RANGE

    COMPETITIONS

    Competition 1:- 60 shots at 50 Metres (4 Classes): Entry Fee - £5-00

    Any current/potential/aspiring Squad members shooting Competition 1 in the first 3 details on Saturday will shoot under ISSF Rules, other shooters under NSRA Rules. Equipment check from 8-30 a.m.

    Competition 2:- 40 shots at 100 Yards (4 Classes): Entry Fee - £5-00

    Competition 3:- Aggregate of Comps 1 & 2 (4 Classes): Entry Fee - £2-00

    Competition 4:- UCSSA H/cap - 20 shots each at 50m & 100yds: Free entry

    (concurrent with Comp. 3, first card at each distance to count).

    Competition 5:- Junior Championship - 40 shots at 50 metres (single class): Entry Fee - £2-00

    (Entrants must be under 21 on date of shooting)

    NOTE:- Juniors shooting Comp. 1 may shoot Comp. 5 concurrent, cards 1 & 2 to count.

    Competition 6:- Club Teams of Three (concurrent with Comp. 1): Entry Fee - £3-00 per team

    Competition 7:- Ulster Individual Long Range Championship:- 60 shots at 50 m: Free entry *See note below

    Comp 8:- County Individual Championships of Antrim/Armagh/Down: Free entry (concurrent with Comp. 3)

    Veterans (over 60 on date of shooting) and Juniors will be given a 50% discount for entry to Comps 1, 2 & 3.

    *CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

    The top 16 competitors in Competition 3 on the range at 4-00 p.m. on Saturday will compete in the Finals.

    Top 8 will shoot in the Senior Final under ISSF Rules, the next 8 will shoot in a C.Y.O.S. Final.


    ADDITIONAL COMPETITION - C.Y.O.S. (re-entry permitted), 20 shots at 50m. £1 per card.

    Winner will receive 30% of total entry fee for this competition, runner-up will receive 20%.

    Competitors in this competition may use vacant firing points up to 4 p.m. on Saturday but firing points cannot be booked for this competition.

    Shooters in C.Y.O.S. competitions MUST declare their start and have it recorded before putting up their target.

    IT IS THE SHOOTER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THEY HAVE THEIR CARDS SHOT BY 4 P.M. ON SATURDAY, NO EXCEPTIONS.

    GENERAL NOTES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

    (1) NSRA Rules will apply except where otherwise stated.
    (2) Details will commence on the hour and half-hour.
    (3) I.S.S.F. scoring rules will apply in the Senior Championship Final..
    (4) Competitors will be classified as per current NISSU Classification List and Rules.
    (5) The Range Committee will consist of any 3 members of the Executive present on the Range.
    (6) Eligibility for County Champion will be by county of residence.
    (7) Entries accepted only on the Range but firing points may be booked at time of entry for Comps 1 & 2.
    (8) Competitors may not enter further competitions once they have commenced shooting (applicable to Competitions 1, 2 & 3).

    TROPHIES:

    Class A Aggregate: Greer Cup;
    Class B Aggregate: Woodside Cup;
    Class C Aggregate: Getgood Cup;
    Class D Aggregate: Lyle Cup;
    Ulster Counties Handicap: Braddel Cup;
    Club Team of 3: Le Peton Cup;
    Highest Scoring Lady Competitor (Aggregate): McMordie Cup;
    Junior Long Range Champion: Clyde Shield;
    Individual Long Range Champion: Maxwell-Green Cup.

    Trophies will be presented at the Prize-Giving Function in the Masonic Hall, Newtownards on Saturday 4th November 2006

    Neither Comber Rifle Club or the UC(E)SSA can accept responsibility for any article, including firearms and ammunition, brought to or used at the meeting, or for any property left or stored on the Range.
