Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    And so they should....

Only today I got an email from my employer (a HSE) giving details of my Group VHI benefits. Yet again, there's money there for 'Alternative treatments' (up to €250 pa I think); but VHI will not pay for psychological treatment. It is a scandal!

Terrific to read this. It is crucial that the leading names in medicine starting taking a stand against CAM. Hopefully it might encourage others to abandon their "what's the harm" indifference.

There is , probably, no harm in choosing to "believe" in alternative medicine. The government paying for it is another matter and what gets my goat up are the charlatans who pretend it works to swell their profits. Its a little like Uri geller using magicians tricks to pretending to have psychic powers.
