I've to network a number of machines, all Windows NT4. I need to be able to access the C: drives of each machine from 1 PC (Read only), and I need to be able to periodiodicaly backup the data from each onto the 1 PC.
What ways could I go about this (ie. should I connect them all to a server or just connect them to eachother and map their shared drives, etc)? What benifits/disadvantages does each method have (security etc.)?
    Thanks in advance.

Network shares work and if u fancy sftp there about.

Once a pc is setup with a propper policy (Disable lanman hashes) + other tweaks. Create the accounts you need to backup the system.

The shared compuer toolkit does not work on NT so thats out but some of the settings do.

Whats ur threat model(who and what do you want to secure + why)?
