amazing stuff. Finch on debut scores the opener after 11 minutes of play. NSW pick up the ball after a QLD knock on on the NSW line and run the length of the field to score.

    Conversion un-succesfull

    4 nil to the Blues

Try 2! Matt King in for the Blues. At the moment its all NSW. QLD are the favourites but are being spanked every which way. Still its only 17 minutes in. Loads of time left.

Kick unsucessfull. 8 nil to the home side.

Lockyer restarts with a kick out on the full.

Little wonder Rugby League is called the greatest game of all. This is warfare at its best.

Willie Mason is like a sherman tank. 12 nil.

Hodgson finally converts 14 nil after 22 mins

    Half time NSW 14 - 0 QLD.

QLD look to be overawed by the whole thing. Im sure Mal Menninga will be ripping them apart in the dressing room. Expect a big second half from them.

QLD have scored. After a bit of a punch up down field the Maroons are in. 53 minutes gone and Ingless puts one down in the corner.

    Thurston converts

14 - 6 in favour of the Blues. A big finish awaits.

I didn't want to know the score, and I forgot to set me video this morning.
But at lunch I went for a couple of scoops and they had the post match interviews.
    All gone to pot.

Anyhow, I'll enjoy it tonight when I get in.
