help needed to choose tattoo

hi everyone,
i would like o have a tattoo but can't find any picture i would like to carry with me my whole life:o maybe someone could suggest some ornament or smth like that? most tatto pictures i find on the web are obscene and that is not what i'm looking for:) i would like small simple ornament ( or maybe flower) in monocolor. and nothing like dragons or skulls or smth too religous;) any help would be appreciated

i ment not to pick tattoo for me, but recommend some ornament it will not be like you come and say pick this and do it don't be kidding. actually i described what i am looking for. some people are keen in collecting various pictures, i hope to find some of them here my friend collects pics, but i hadn't find any i would like :rolleyes:

Why do people making these threads recently? I don't get it...like, seriously, if I asked you to pick out a tattoo for me, what would you honestly say? Besides the fact I'm sure you wouldn't be bothered, where would you even start with an idea for a stranger that you don't know the first thing about. It's just purely stupid.

meh, I'm not gonna give you any advice on what kinda design you should get..but all I'm going to say is, pick it out yourself, don't get something for the sake of it, and bigger is better

Most people on this forum are passionate about tattoo's and body modification in general so questions like these and 'does it hurt?' get old real quick. Think about what you're asking people and be more of an individual as it's going onto your body and in my opinion you shouldn't really get a tattoo yet if you're so unsure.

just think about what your asking and you'll understand..

theres infinite amounts of types of tattoos you could get, cos it's PERSONAL preference, so the fact you think someone should even attempt at helping you pick it out just says, don't even bother doing it.

What are your interests? You say that most tattoos you see online are obscene, but that's not a very good description of what you do like.
What do you actually want with a tatoo anyway?
Ask yourself that first and then work from there, if you think about it, it's silly to ask people who dont know you what you should get tattooed on you permanently, dont you think?
I think the fact that English may not be your first language is not helping you to describe things very well either.

but, the point is, no one has any clue about you or what your into, so how would we even know what to show you...theres A LOT of different things/ornaments you could get tattooed on you.
If your really looking for an idea, your the only one who is gonna have the best knowledge of what YOU want, so go over to bmezine.com wheres theres a hella lot of different catergories and I'm sure you'll come up with something yourself.just like Wilburt said, dont rip any of them off.
Failing that, go into a tattoo shop and they'll have plenty of flash on the walls with small designs that you can get tattooed.

Get a big pair of balls tattooed on your forehead, have it so that the pubes are your real hair, that'd be cool. Obscene would be like a picture of Jesus on the cross or something, you'd be amazed at the obscene religious imagery some people get. Also if you ever go bald you can tell people, "yeah I shave downstairs" and wink, it'll go down a bomb at parties.

I dont see anything unfriendly about what was said so far.
Google images is a large picture collection I can share with you, you might find the "ornament" (have a look on your mantelpiece there might be something similar there) that you are looking for, failing that maybe you can find a suitable one in your local antiques shop, I saw a lovely old style gramaphone on Francis St there the other day.

and seriously lee smartie and I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but go into a tattoo shop and look at their books and flash on the walls, you'll probably find what your looking for there.just be warned that loads of other people will probabaly have the same thing.

I have absolutely no artistic talent whatsoever so it's okay for me to get a few ideas of what I want incorporated in my tatt and then ask a tattooist to help design my tatt right?

yup, there's absolutley no problem with that once your not getting someone elses tattoo put onto you and it doesn't sound like thats what you'll be doing anyways. so..if you do go ahead with whatever, be sure to post pics

Anyone can do whatever they want, at the end of the day it's about what you consider cool, you have to wear it.

i have just registered with boards.ie, as it was recommended to me by a friend who said it is a friendly and informative place to find out more about my interests, i quickly raced home to log on and join.

after doing so i went in search of others with interests like mine, and where i could ask like minded people some questions.............

than i saw this page!

i read everyones comments and i have to say i find most of you rude.

the girl only asked a question and you all ganged up to slag her off make personal attacks on her mother tounge, intelligence and image.

i found it rather offence and would now not dream of spending one minute longer with people of this nature.

porn star, maybe you should do what im doing and leave this forum and the horrible people in it.

you could also try go to google click on images and type in tattoo of flower. it will show you loads of pictures, you can then click on them and be brought to the sites.

Also there are many books on tattoo, from roses to cornations etc.

please leave this room as the people here are not smart enough to realise that you did not ask for them to pick a tattoo for you only to help you find sites of tattoos.

I don't have any problem with these 'horrible people'...infact, I don't think anyone on here is horrible...

I think what you have to realize is that nobody does actually mean any disrespect, but a lot of people on here are regulars and a lot of the time people come on here and start threads asking what they should get done. Now, maybe I'm wrong, along with everyone else on the board, but I don't think anybody asking what they should get done should be getting tattooed...just for the simple reason that they're rushing into something that they have plenty of time for...

Like the person didn't actually ask for sites, they asked for ideas of 'ornaments' to get tattooed, cos they didn't like most of the tattoos they found on the internet.They didn't even know what kinda 'ornament' they wanted, like I'm sure you realize they're numerous amounts of things like that you can get tattooed on you and your more then likely to find them in a book of flash then anywhere else. No one here can really start suggesting what kinda 'ornament' thing person can get, cos none of us knew her.
Anyways, I think we all just get tired of these kinda threads more then anything else.

While we may of been a little rude, I actually find the question posed offensive, It wasn't thought out and showed no fore thought except i want a tattoo, an instant gratification question which is the cause of people getting modified for all the wrong reason. Trying to fit into an image or sub culture rather then trying to allign your inner image with the outer appearance.
HEr question is the one that makes under 18 want tattoos not because its soemthing they want but something they can say "look what i got" those sort of questions are the ones that keep laser removal guys in business

Once again telling people to blindly follow you, i'm gonna have to apply godwins law here and compare you to a nazi. Unfortunatly we did employ reductio ad adsurdium to the girls question to show it was pointless but tbh no one sknow the girl here interests are anything about her or even what she was looking for "just an ornament". It compares to asking what limb should i amputate? if i knew the girl and knew she worked a desk job i could reccomend a leg or two as this would effect her, but seeing as i don't know her i might say a hand or eyeball and this wouldn't work at all. See where i'm going with it.

Anyway you'll probably never read this reply as your "leaving this place" but do enjoy your limit world view.
