Has anyone been checking out all the New Park gigs that have been on in the Boom Boom Room over the last two weeks? Last week was the first year gigs and all this week the fourth year gigs are on. I am a first year so I'll be biased about last week gigs so I wont say anything, but I was at the forth year gigs last night and they were great!!! some seriously good compositions and performances from everyone, there's more on tonight too.

I'd love to have been able to have gone, but I have exams  at the mo.
I wanted to see Bill Blackmore, Greg Felton and Sean Carpio (haven't heard of the bass player before), how'd it go?

Yeah, I was at it last night. I thought it was really good.
Were people just cheering more as the night went on due to booze or a betterment in musicianship? I thought the former myself.

Didn't you think the singer was great!!! I think that's why people were cheering more, coz she was great and the people that played with her were great.... The song at the end was the best of the night by far! Dave Redmond on bass and just Jenna singing.... very cool!

I missed that one my self actually, but I head it was great... I mean come on...what a line up! If you want to see Bill Blackmore then keep your eye out for either Bop Five, which he plays with evey now and then or Trihornaphone.
Greg is in old square lines, as is Sean. But sure Sean is in evey jazz band going at the moment... or at least it seems that way sometimes:)

Yeah I've randomly seen him play gigs, just sitting in there at the back with his sticks and polyrhythms. :D I'll check out those groups when these pesky exams are over.
