    if u go to blogs relating to a website u run and the blogger has theyre email address on the blog, is it considerd spam to email them to tell them about your website if there is something in retrun for them like affiliation? you dont know them, but there is a big chance they would be interested in your service. if it is spam, what would be the ebst way to approach such people thru non spam means?

    Its only spam if you collect loads of the bloggers emails and send them all the same message.

    If you're friendly, explain you saw they were interested in your website in their blogs, and ask if they'd be interested in affiliation or whatever then sign it off personally then that isn't spam.

    Try to make it look like it isn't the same message you'd send to lots of other people.
