dsl connection dropping

my dsl connection drops after i leave the pc unattended.i usually have dc++ running at the time.i have a bt voyager 210 adsl router with a clicksilver 2mb connection.i have to reset the router to get it back.is it likely to be a problem with the lead ,i made itmyself (i have the tools).the speeds are fine when it's running…
