If you only have the line for BB and make virtually no calls on it !

Ring 1901 , say "agent" to get thru the bs

Ask to be switched to the Vulnerable User Scheme

    Difference

Normal Rental €24.18 a month . No calls included.

Vulnerable Rental €22.50 a month , €5 of calls included BUT you pay extra over that so be warned !!! .

The only qualifying criteria is that you make very few calls, its not income related AT ALL and is for light users. Its NOT the same as the Social Benefit Scheme by the way . Its a bundle of rental and calls while the social benefit scheme is a bundle of calls youu can buy if you get your line rental paid by the state...eg you are a pensioner.

Details are explained in short Here

Any crap and you contact consumerline@comreg.ie

Any saving is lost if you happen to use the phone in excess of your €5 credit because the next €5 you spend is charged at double the standard rate for whatever type of call you're making.

    Good for low users though.

I stress that this is for those who habitually make very few calls . Its obvious from their historic bills who they are.

If you tend to have €10 a month of calls on top of €24.20 line rental giving you an average 2 monthly bill around €70 then its maybe not for you.

If your average 2 monthly bill is around €55-60 or less for line rental and calls you will save about €15 on that bill .

If in doubt see www.askcomreg.ie or contact consumerline@comreg.ie for details on how the vulnerable user scheme for those who make very few calls works

It can be combined with BB no probs.
