    guys,

    trying to dialup over a phone line from a customers site using a 56k modem

    and it can get out at all with or with out detecting a dial tone??

    also i dont need to dial anything for an outside line??

    ANYIDEAS???:?

    You might want to check that you haven't fried the modem - plugging an analog modem into a digital line is not a good idea.

    If there's a fax in the office, "borrow" that phoneline for your modem. Otherwise you're SOL.
