though y'all might be interested in this: http://macenstein.com/default/archives/302

supposedly a 3.4 Ghz core duo will outperform the 7.2 Ghz pentium 4:eek:

although stability would be questionable at best @ 3.4 Ghz:rolleyes:

    Wow, its a beast:)

The celeron M does just as well at the same sort of speeds.......

    Imagine what Conroe will do:eek:

    And I thought Athlon 64 3700 @ 3ghz was fast:D

P.s There should be a Super Pi benchmark competition at Gamecon......

Anything that has a DELL sticker on it cannot be overclocked:D

You will need to put it in a desktop board.......

It would be a shame to ruin such a nice lappy........

When your fed up with it give it to me:D

That's old news my friends. The new Core 2 Duo (Conroe) is already breaking the records one after the other. SuperPi world record was broken 10 times in 3 days by a couple of fellas in www.xtremesystems.org, it went from 16" to 10" (!).
And these are the first samples, on the only board that currently supports them.

i have a sony vgn-fe11m and im trying to find some app that will let me overclock, overlcocking is covered by a pc world warrenty, well the extended warrenty, so if anyone knows of anything that will work, it would be much apreciated. ive tried all of the bios upgraded but it unlocks no options in the bios, looks like im gonna have to get crunk on this mofo laptop and rip out the chip :)
