Thinking bout changing to a 535 from a restricted Bandit 600. just wondering what experiences people have had with them. I travel alot of motorway and will be doing the across Ireland run in August, might even go to the continent soon with the bike.

Just wondering if there is much difference in power I know the Virago is more powerful on paper but how does it fair out on the road?

    Any opinions / advice?

The Virago is a nice bike, I had one for a while. I cant compare it to a 600 bandit for you, as I have only ever rode a 1200. But I can tell you one thing, the virago is not the bike to do any long distance riding. Its fairly uncomfortable after an hour or so. Serious tail bone problems!

I'd agree - they're not built for long distance riding. Better options out there, My Dragstar 1100 was in for a bit of work and the workshop gave me a Deuville for a week - it's a cracker for long hauls (thinking of your pricerange) City Honda have one (or two maybe) there at the moment (used) I know it's sometimes refered to as a Dullville, but I really like it.

    My 2 cents!

My Dad has a Deauville (great bike). I had a 125 Virago and have always had a thing for them.

I rode an XV535 for my first year biking - great bike, very reliable and looks good too (if you like cruisers).
Riding an XV750 now I liked it so much...
