Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Split Backup @ xGB?

I need a backup/archive utility that will allow me to split the destination data into 4 or 8 GB chunks for archiving to DVD.

I tried using nero but the problem is that if it fails on say disc 8 of 10 then you have to restart ever again from disc 1. I've wasted a load of discs already so this is a no go.

I'd prefer to maintain the existing folder structure but will backup to a file if needed.

    anyone got anything?

This is not exactly what your looking for but it is a very handy App never the less. It allows you to split files into chunks. Each up to 4.3 GB in size but it will only handle files & not directories.

It's called "Chainsaw File Splitter" & all you do is set the chunk size, then drag the file to the picture of the chainsaw.

You can download it from here (& it's free)

If nothing else it's a handy little tool to keep in the toolbox........
