Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

THE FAI have already been forced to change some of the criteria that will decide who plays in the Eircom League Premiership next season. Basically, it looks like it will mean UCD are going to stay in the top flight.

Any opinions here? Will the new format tempt more people to go to domestic football?

THE FAI have already been forced to change some of the criteria that will decide who plays in the Eircom League Premiership next season.
Three hundred points were on offer for results over the past five seasons in the League, Cups and Europe but the FAI have had to reduce that to four seasons after they discovered that Kildare County were not members of the League in 2001/02.

    ???? That???

thats old news the league looks like this atm

    Derry City 1
    Bohemians 2
    Cork City 3
    Shelbourne 4
    Drogheda United 5
    Longford Town 6
    St Patrick's Athletic 6
    UCD 8
    Shamrock Rovers 9
    Dublin City 10
    Waterford United 11
    Bray Wanderers 12

    Sligo Rovers 13
    Finn Harps 14
    Galway United 15
    Dundalk 16
    Limerick FC 16
    Cobh Ramblers 18
    Kildare County 19
    Athlone Town 20
    Monaghan United 21
    Kilkenny City 22

Some UCD fans did that based on 5 or 4 year form only.
Does not inc the other 50% of the criteria.

Sorry -- had a quick scan but didn't see it here.
Edit: although those rankings apparently have been changed by the new rules (see story).
Still, I wonder what opinions there are about it. Will it make any difference to those who currently don't go to Irish football?

LOL free beer and a hot chick wouldnt :)

200 at Dublin City game last night imagine most ex pat Cork fans.
500 at UCD when admission was practically free.
    1000 at Pats game
2000 at Drogs game in which O Briend celebrated his goal in front of Bohs fan and got a free can of beer.

Nice to see Drog's support on the up. They used have real low attendances and good see that this is changing despite their very high adm. fees.:)
