Dad is looking at an old (95ish) Suzuki escudo.

Is there an "irish equivilant". This one is imported, and TBH tatty looking and id like to find somthing more tidy for him.

    Any thoughs\experiences with this?

The Escudo was and is sold as the Grand Vitara over here.

Ladder frame chassis and low ratio gearbox mean it's pretty good off road. On road manners aren't really comparable to a car, but anything from the mid 90's isn't gonna compare with today's soft-roaders. For the money there isn't really anything that's gonna compete with it.
