yea hes right there, if its pointing down its intersection and you include the elements (numbers) that the sets have in common

if its a U it means union and you put in every element (number) from both sets ie in this case {-2,-1,0,1,2,...

Yeah the symbol just means locate elements that are common in both sets
i.e just write down elements like -1,2 ect that are in A and B for intersection.
Union, you just include all elements found in both sets.

Need help again in part II http://www.e-xamit.ie/tutorials/leaving/maths/ordinary/2001/1/02/egxdkza3.html wer do 2^6(two to the power of 6) go?

    2^6 = (2^5)(2^1) basically two times 2^5

    2^6 - 2^5 = 2(2^5) - 2^5

Take out a factor of 2^5

    = 2^5(2-1) = (2^5)(1) and so on.
