What single text and comparative texts are you doing?

    Just curious.

We're doing Pride & Prejudice as single text.

As You like it, Witness and Silas Marner as our comparative texts.

This has probably been posted elsewhere, but anyway..

    Single Text: King Lear

Comparative Texts: Witness, Silas Marner, Juno and the Paycock.

Fairly confident for the single text, I love Lear, and while I like comparative, I'll most likely mess it up. Poetry should save me though, especially if Hopkins comes up!

single text - Pride & Prejudice
really easy to write about i think.
im rooting for a good character question on Elizabeth or Darcy. pretty handy, hopefully...

    Comparative:
    Lear *yawn*
On The Waterfront, *cheers*, it's cool
    Silas Marner *yawn*. its ok.

    Theme; Redemption

    Pride and Prej eh?

It never came up on the LC before, so I'm assuming the question they ask will be fairly easy to write about.

    hope.

I am willing to be 10000euro that cultural context and theme and issue will be on the paper. Literary Genre was up two years in a row!

    Anyway

    Comparative:
How many miles to Babylon (TRIPE)
    O mice and men (ok)

Single Text: King Lear (great play)

Comparative: How Many Miles to Babylon? (poor), Of Mice & Men (fairly good), Dances With Wolves (meh)

These two confuse me a little. In the mocks, I hadn't even looked at Lear, wrote an average essay, and got 50/60. For the comparative, I thought I did a great essay on Cultural Context, and only got like 45/70. It was only the mocks I know, but knocks the confidence a bit.
