Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    0035386

if you use the + it automatically replaces the code needed to dial out of a country, IE in england and Ireland it's 00, but in other countries, it might be different.

Since it's actually on an Irish network but in England, you still need to use the code out of Ireland (00) and the international code into Ireland (353) it's wierd, but should work.

Surely you could just call the 086 number like normal (086 1234567)? It's an Irish number so the network should recognise it and then route the call to the English network that the phone is roaming on?

It should work alright, I called my folks mobile, 087... from my American mobile and didnt have to put anything in front.

exactly, it doesnt matter where the receiver of the call is, it matters were the dialler is making the call from

if you are in ireland you dial 086
if you are in the UK you dial 0035386
if you are in the states you dial 01135386

    and so on

Huh? I'd have assumed that it was local (086) or global (0035386) only.

Dialling internationally from the US requires a "011" prefix. Alternatively using a plus sybol (on a mobile) will work anywhere in the world as it uses whatever the local international prefix is.

If you wannt ring 086 1234567 from Ireland just ring 086 1234567. Nothing else needed.

    Slightly off-topic but hey-ho...

If the person you are dialing is using a pay-as-you-go mobile and does not have any credit the call will go direct to voicemail without ringing the phone. If you really need to contact them you can top up their phone at an ATM in Ireland and they then get the credit :)
