Yep I got 45% in the oral I didnt go to. Dont worry about the oral though, most people fail them.Ive only ever passed one that ive been to but I would always reccomend going to them,It doesnt look good if you dont turn up for the oral.I was lucky it worked out for me this time.

are the modularisation results out on the 30th or before. I remember in the exam hall the notice said "results will be out no later that June 30th" which implies that they may be out before then?

What do you think a boards.ie addict is Font22?

    :p

I'm just pissed off because mine aren't out for almost a month and I'm starting to worry already, especially because I had so much on my mind at the time of the exams that I didn't care, or concentrate, and now I'm hugely regretting it. Woohoo!!! (Sorry, wrong thread! )

InFront, get them checked! So many people don't bother, if you feel you should have done better, get your papers checked. If you're wrong, no huge loss. If you're right, no repeats. Ok chick?

Theres no point the department who teach the failed course is very specialised and small and I reckon theyd just be pissed off having to dig out my paper and go through it again. Anyways they gave me a breakdown and my entire attempt was seemingly brutal. *Load Moan* Ah its not all bad UCD is looking its best during the Summer I suppose:)

Blatant spamming by the Mod? (I'll bet he's not even wearing his peachy pants! For shame! ;) )

So, anyone else get results? Why the hell can't they give me my results so I can see if there's any point in wasting the €20 it costs to apply for the masters? That's almost 7 drinks at home!

As regards anonymous marking, why is the Student Number required on the exam paper? Most (if not all) departments and lecturers have a list linking each name and Student No., and so the use of an unlinked exam no. seems pointless when the student no. is also required. Although I am sure that many examiners are paragons of integrity, I have heard of smaller departments that make no secret about the fact that they are biased by each student's personality and mark accordingly. So, why is an exam number not used in isolation when anonymous marking is stressed as such a fundamental requirement?

If a lecturer has some kind of bias towards you, they can find a way to work out who you are, even if you just use exam numbers. Personally I think this anon marking is stupid as I know it's not. I would be happy to have my name on the page when they mark it though.

I've gotten to the stage where I'm checking the SIS student web 3 times a day... I really just want to get my results and be done with things.

I have a manic obsession with SIS at the moment... I want the suffering to end! I saw all the School of History heads going for a session on Tuesday... they had the extern with them so the papers are all ready marked and checked!!

Spare a thought for us poor freshers. All ours have to come out together cause of SnM and june 30th is the date, even though we were finished well before other years...

I think it's a great thing - lecturers in my course once failed students automatically if they didn't like you and your name was on the paper and passed you no matter what you wrote if she did. All our lecturers make a big effort to not have our student numbers - they're not displayed in the office or anything.

Although they've taken away our anonymous numbers which isn't all that useful - they were great for us in first and second year.

It doesn't bother me persoanlly, but there's no point in claiming that marking is anonymous when that is patently not the case.

Well you'll either be repeating in august or going into second year in september, you know you're going back anyway. Jesus, last year you had to wait until august for your leaving results, you'll cope. At least it's not your finals.

I'm not too worried, it's just that I'm sure they're corrected + I want to know. I only had 2 written eaxams anyway cause I had a few practicals and a couple of subjects didn't even have a final exam, like in one subject 20% went for a test + 80% was placement marks and a report thing on the placement.

Even my written were all/half MCQ, so my marks are well decided by now, but I can't get them til every first year exam has been corrected...

BTW I had 2 summers of LC result awaiting, surely I've been through enough waiting?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,016 ✭✭✭Blush_01

Ok, I feel sorry for you now. You'll still have the results before lots of people though.
