how to get rid of bugs?

Anyone else got these millpede-y type wormy type creatures everywhere ? I've spoken to a few neighbours and they've all got em but they seem reistant to the usual bug killing manoevers... Any advice on getting rid of them ? Thanks FBP.

I use a powder for killing woodlice - it kills most things that crawl - ants, spiders, beetles etc. I got it in Woodies.
