Not sure if this is a broadband or a software query but hopefully someone can advise.

When I go into Task Manager I notice an application called "Hidden DSL Watch" running. I have never noticed this before.

Can anyone advise what this is? Should I be worried? Tried to google it, to no avail.

Not much showing up in Google but do you see c3kwepn.exe in your process list?

It appears to belong to Netopia setup software. You shouldn't have to install ANY software to get your internet working.

Thank you for correcting me, Watty. I always forget about those USB connected routers.

Sounds very dodgy to me. Go download the free version of Adaware Personal SE, get the updates and run a full system scan.

I downloaded and ran Adaware SE and the application is still there, even after a reboot

What happens if you kill it? Does the internet die or is everything still running fine. See where it starts from by running msconfig and look at the Startup tab to see where it runs from (registry most likely) and dissable it. If there's no ill-effect then it's probably OK to remove it.
