Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey,


    Here is the story, was with a girl on and off for a few years great while we were together we broke up on bad terms, i was heart broken and we got back together but i relised it just wasnt for me, i wasnt happy. That was about 7-8 Months ago... But anyway i wouldnt really say i think about her But i dream about her Everynight, i mean everynight.. I wake up and it puts me in a bad mood. I am not in love with her mght still have some feelings but why am i dreaming about her everynight.

    Inner peace can only come from reflection and acceptance.

    Who hasn't been at this juncture in their life. You need to accept the things that you cannot change and move on with your life. It won't be easy but I'm sure you can do it.

    I know exactly what you're talking about.

    Not wanting to sound glib but the Jeff Buckley lyric 'Must I dream and always see your face' (The Last Goodbye) used to upset me for a long time.

    It's natural buddy. It's your mind going over what's happened. You'll dream about your ex every now and again long after you ever want to see her again.

    Just the way things go I think.

    Yep,

    I still occasionally have dreams about an ex of mine, eight years after we broke up!! I'm engaged to a woman that I really love but every so often, even though I don't want to be with my ex again, I dream about her and feel really sad when I wake up!

    The frequency of dreams will decrease but I think you do need some grieving time. I know it sounds strange but sometimes, even with bad break-ups, when you love someone and then they are gone, you need to be able to grieve over that.

    I did my grieving and now I'm generally happy, things I'd love to change about the past but can't so I have to live with it (as does she) and get on with it.

    Going through the exact same thing myself over last few months and that line really hit a chord when I heard it, was with gf 5 yrs and we travelled world together, the fine weather last week brought back all the old memories of our travels and felt very sad thinking of them. Dream of her all the time (broke up last December) and really wanted to be bak together but know thats not the solution so best of luk to you, know what it feels like...
