    Currently i have a E6 stepping Venice, (made week 11, 2006) with 1.475Vcore and she's running @ 2304Mhz. So 500Mhz over standard..Prime 95/Memtest86+/SuperPI stable.

I'm using the stock heatsink, i'm sure this CPU will go higher, 2.4 at least...but would juicing it with 1.5Vcore be pushing the limits?

    My memory is running DDR512 with 2.5-4-3-7-1T with 2.8V, 256FSB with a 3x HTT.

what kind of temps are you getting? Id say 1.5V should be okay.

With the warm weather temps not accurate.

I've had mine at 1.49 anyway but it's not my cpu holding me back :(
I've the same chip at 2.5Ghz.

I ran up to 1.625 at one stage on my opty 144 (1.35v stock) but temps were 40 idle 55 load so I backed off.

I now run 1.58 24/7 for 2900 mhz stable. Temps are 33 idle 38 load with watercooling even in the hot weather :D

I wouldn't go higher if the temps go above 55 - 55 on load

It took me 5 months to kill an opty 144 at 1.75 volts under watercooling.

Okay, well by that token, they are not accurate in winter either, unless you do all of your overclocking at STP!

Compare case temp to CPU temp.

I have a northy running on 1.87v or thereabouts for about two months now, on a stock intel cooler (from a prescott). Only a matter or time before it dies.
