    i might go to this.
does any one know the structure ie starting stack, blind levels etc?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,563 ✭✭✭sikes

    starting stack : 4k

    Blinds i assume are 25/50, 50/100, etc

first 3 levels are 20mins then 30 mins after the break

starting stack is 5k, other than that above is correct.

Numbers might be hard to tell tonight due to first running of this but hopefully will be de decent anyhow. I would imagine this will turn into a fairly popular one, 50+ once it settles down.

I am twisted enough to go to this tonight.

Hope that's beer you're talking about, might be easier to take some chips off you. :)

Think I'll head in as well; so far there's no dead money in this thread, so I'll fill that spot.

Just back from this, out in 12th out of 49 runners.

To clarify, it's a €140+€10 freezeout; 5K starting stack, 20 min for first 3 levels, 30 mins after.

    Prize pool of ~7K I think, 9 paid with payout of 3000, 1400, 700,..., 200, 200.

The structure seems good, blinds were at 300/600 when I was knocked out, and plenty of players seemed to have 20BBs+. This is good for a Dublin casino weekly tournament.

Boardsters I saw: Sikes (still in when I left), 5starpool, cardshark202, and pppspecial (also still in with a decent stack; sitting beside him for a fair bit, which was a bit embarassing after misreading his post the other day :o). After that you had the general Monday/Friday regulars, plus a few relatively "dodgy" players as well.

nice tourney loads of play at the end for the players with chips! compared to the tuesday crapshoot. was short stacked throughout, dogged q10 with q4 hitting a set on the flop, all in preflop when down to 6, out in 5th.

pppspecial took me out and was second in chips when i left, my 86s no match for aa!!

sounds like a good tourny. sick i missed it... went to bed at about 7.30 for a kip but didnt get up. I'll definitely make it next week.

Who won it in the end? I'd expect pppspecial to take it own from here? cardshark - hw u get on? (ps: how did you get on in the jackpot the other night too?)

I don't know who was involved in the chop, but Macker got the biggest share in a 4 way split I believe. He took all my chips to knock me out in 14th in a battle of the blinds when I held K7 and he held KT on a KT7Kx board. Ouch. Very enjoyable tourney and if it gets around 50 or so runners every week it will be a great addition to the schedule.

Final table started at 1.20 or so and finished with the chop around 3.45 so that says it all. Final table started at 500-100 with average stack over 25k so plenty of play.

Edit: Cardshark was out fairly early. He told me how he exited but I am a forgetful muppet at times.

    Anyone play last night? Results?

hey lenny. no i was out real early. was on that blasted table 1. no bleedin craic at all. rivered by a7 holding Q4 in my big blind on a Q high flop.oh well. last week we did a chop. we were 4 out and macker had 50% of the chips. i had 60k and the other 2 had 50 and 40k so we did a deal off 1500 to macker and 1k to each the rest and play for the rest 1st prize. which was 800. as soon as the deal was done i hit 2 running sets which i slowplyed each time only limping into the pot taking out the other short stacks so anxious to get home to play the 3.30 game on paddy power we chopped the 800(maker and I). hey another good game u boardies should know about is the 100 double chance deep stack in the merrion on a tuesday nite at 8 o clock25 min clock 4k + 4k starting stacks so loads off play. it got 29 runners the other nite but that was due to the footie(dont forget u have 2 big plasmas showing the football so u wont miss a thing in the merrion) higly recomended as there is loads off play. finishes bout 3 and i took 1400 for my troubles on tuesday nite.

HL Dave, but well done on last week (I went out in 12th). You're right, there are a good few "deeper" stack tourneys running these days.

Hard luck as well. I doubt you were too impressed finishing 5th and seeing a four-way split.
