If it asks ''Did you like this poem?'' (it's always best to say yes) you could say:
Is maith liom an dán seo mar:
-Tá an teanga simplí - The language is simple
-Tá an ceacht sa dán - There are lessons in the poem
-Bhog sé mo chroí - It moved my heart ()
-Bhíog sé mo shamhlaíocht - It ignited my imagination
-Bhí trua agam don fhile - I felt sorry for the poet.

    Hope these help.

found the unseens both poetry and comprehension difficult enough....letter on the other hand was so very, very easy!

Unseen Fiction - Was OK, managed to get some good answers
Studied Fiction - The "Subjects" threw me off a bit, I ended up twisting "a trong trait" into greed.
    Unseen Poetry - Meh
Seen Poetry - Twisted "eachtra a tharla" to suit Géabhan le Caitlín Maude and did a big comparason between the before and after of the "eqachtra", and the metaphor for Maude's cancer.
Roinn III - Easy enough, did all 4. D was surprisingly easy.
Letter - Did part A, went smoothly enough.

    Overall, I'm hoping for a B, though it'll probably be a High C.

Unseen Fiction - I found it quite easy and surprisingly interesting
Seen Fiction - I did quite well here, I felt the options were quite good, I wrote Pól(from Eachtra i nGlaschú) as being as duine deas for 'tréith láidir i nduine éigin'

Unseen Poetry - Wasn't too hard, was easier in the mocks though but I still think I did fairly ok in it
Seen Poetry - I think I did quite well here, the theme I studied for didn't come up but I twisted 'Eachtra a tharla' to the mac an file in Mac Eile Ag Imeacht emigrating to America and how sad the parents were. i think I did well on it.

Léamhthuiscint - They weren't too hard, I did A, B and C but then I had time at the end so i did D aswell which I found very easy, may have got 10 out of 10 on it and i usually find líon na bearnaí quite tough. I liked the picture of Scarlett Johannson aswell! made my Irish exam that little bit easier to bare.

Litir - I have seen easier ones but it was grand, I didn't exactly have the right terminalogy for it though, I would've liked to talk about Globalisation but sadly i didn't know the Irish word for it so I just said ' goid siopaí mhór cuistímearí ó siopaí beaga', think it was ok.

Overall quite a fair paper, I was expecting much worse.

    it's glóbalisation of course!

It wasn't as bad as I expected, but I had some trouble twisting themes and stuff to fit my studied poetry and prose. I said the comprehension was like An Gadaí because there is love and kindness in both of them, then rambled on about the kindness in An Gadaí.

I was banking on being able to use "An teilifís" by Gabriel Rosenstock in poetry but instead I had to use "An t-Earrach thiar" which sucked because I didn't know the name of the poet. However, in the mocky my friend made up an author for the prose she wrote on and got the marks so hopefully it will work out.

Unsees Fiction - Thought was fairly interesting which helps. Think i answerd it ok.

Studied Fiction - The themes threw me off a bit at first but i managed to do my yolk i learned off for Eachtra i tir eile or whatever that was called ha.

Unseen Poetry - They were grand, poems were easy enough to understand.

Studied Poetry - Alright. I did Subh Milis for Eachtra a tharla. Gotta love Subh Milis. Works for everything :D

Short pros thingys: Were ok, had to rush them a bit though.

Letter - Did the second one. Was surprised with the points. Very broad. Quite easy.
    ....

Unseen Fiction - The first unseen prose I have ever understood.Did quite well.
Studied Fiction - Used Banrion an Uaignis with 'traits of a person'.Went OK.Got about a page and a half out of it
Unseen Poetry - Ditto as fiction.Threw in all the phrases. Thanks BMH and Jello!
Seen Poetry - Used 'Fear Lastai Lampai' for 'Things that anger the poet'My best part
Roinn III - Surprised at the sheer easiness.Doddle
Letter - Did the new shopping centre.Just threw down everyting I knew about Scotch Hall!

    Hopefully a low B or high C

Unseen Fiction and Poetry - Grand! Not too much bother.
Studied Fiction - I did the tréithe and rambled on about Niamh from Aililiú Bop Suaidí being really nice.
Studied Poetry - I did Subh Milis for the one about something that angered the poet.
Comprehension things - Easy enough. Couldn't not answer anything.
Letter - The second one about the present. My new imaginary boyfriend Ruairí wrote songs about me and put them on a cd and gave it to me. He also gave me a massive card. My imaginary boyfriend is classssss. He has magical eyes!

Jello, thanks so much for the phrases, they really helped. I couldn't get any more than three lines for all the answers for poetry and prose and stuff. But at least I got those phrases in. Even if I did make up some words...;)

Everything else went okay though- got the questions I wanted for the question 2's, so I'm happy.

I hadn't a clue what was going on in either the poems or the prose, so I just did those 'Ar thaitin an scéal/dán leat?' questions, and went on about teanga and teichnicí filíochta. I loved their 'subtle' use of 'balaclava' and trying to pass it off as a proper word! And all those words like 'meigeafón' that are just spelt phoenetically! Lmao.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 804 ✭✭✭BMH

Yeah, I loved the whole "mbalaclava" thing they had going. Heileacoptéir too.

    Well, almost for me!
