Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Search selection question

    Hey,

I've a question on the logic of searching/selecting files in Win Xp...

Basically I've got my hands on a huge collection of .aif & .sd2 (mac protools) files, I've already converted all of the necessary files to wav (because I use a PC) and I'm left with thousands of files of type "FILE" i.e. no files extension since they came from a mac (they are essentially dupicates & because they've no extension or outstanding propeties I can't select them for moving/deleting/renaming)

I can search and find all of the .wav files but how to invert the selection and select everthing in this collection that is NOT a wav file?? Alternatively I was thinking I can search and find all the wav files and copy them with their subfolders/folder sturcture intact... can this be done? (Im talking about thousands of folders here so it will take a century if I have to do it manually)

Something other than brute force would be nice.

    Any suggestions?
    Cheers

OK I'll see if a simpler question throws up any suggestions...

how do I search for files that are "not" .wav files on a HDD

i.e. *.wav = all wav files

    is there a notation/wildcard for [ "everthing but".wav ] files
