100% agree. They won't strech much beyond the sample paper. Not for the first year.

Although for the short questions a good tip would be to go though your text book and know and recognise all the pictures cos pics will come up on short q's. No the features of things.

Know your regional geography inside out.Its a very easy question to answer and get 80/80 in.
Chances are of the 3 "physical" geography questions, one will be completly plate tectonics. So focus a lot on that as well

Yeah be very familiar with the marking scheme. I'm going to learn the sample answers allot over the weekend. It can't be that different.

Can anyone just confirm if the SRP's in that are ok? They seem awfully basic for some of them

It's Geography, they're not looking for waffle.

    I just finished learning
    3 landforms
    Human processes
    and Isostatic processes

But then I had a look at Sample Paper 5 Question 1

    B. With reference to two landforms, explain the processes that occur at a construtive plate margin [30]

    C. Examine the effects of plutonic structures on the development of two landforms that you have studied. [30]

I just hope a question 1 like that doesn't come up tomorow...:(

yup, they actually have directly copied some of the marking scheme that was sent out to accompany the sample paper.

You should always have an example to back up a point you make, not so much case studies, I think.

Know yer regions and MNCs, if yer doing the Economic elective.
