weird pro-logicII problem - help!!

    having a very strange problem with the windows mce and the tv stream it produces. [dvr-ms]
    my set up is as follows -
    windows mce 2005
    audigy zs outputting direct over digital coaxial
    logitect z-5400 receiver looking after decoding DD/DTS and upmixing mp3/avi etc

    the only problem is the dvr-ms files are not being upmixed
    i cant figure out why its happening as all other signals are done excellently.
    the receiver autmatically detects thats its stereo so shouldnt it do it?

    if i link the ntl stb directly to the receiver the sound is done properly so its definitely something in mce
    and since everything else in mce is perfect i can only assume its the dvr-ms files.

    anyone know the source of this problem at all?
    if i use the normal six point surround outpout i get good sound so maybe its the logitech?

    any advice on where to start with this issue would be appreciated.

    are you sure your video capture card isn't capturing in just mono?
    check the specs for it, some of them are only mono
