Im goin to buy a hd tv sometime in the next few weeks but want to
do a bit of research first before i make a move, after all the things are
    real pricey.

I just need some advice on what i should look out for? You see all these
great offers on em but there has to be something up when a 32" is €2000
and a 42" is the same price so there has to be some flaws with the 42".

What i need to know is if i but a HD TV how would i play HDTV files i get form the net
on it? Like xvids and .ts files.

Any info will be great but if have a look and see what i come up with cheers.

Basically you pay for what you get. I have the Pioneer 464XDE, cost 4k but well worth it cos it comes with everything I need..

It has a media box so as you dont have loads of scarts running to the tv, the connections run to the box and then 3 cables run to the tv, one being the power cable!!

The media box has a pc connection on the front which I connect my laptop to to watch programmes I have downloaded..

But most deifinitely check out Magazines and www.avforums.com for reviews!!

Ya iv just been going through everything and looking at all options
to make sure i make the right choice. Im thinking a 32" Sammy will
do me as its only for a bedroom so anything bigger then that would be
a waste. Id say il spend in n around €1500.

A freeview digital tuner is for the digital terrestrial service in the UK. If there is a cam slot on a TV with freeview then I'd assume that it's for Top Up TV.

You will not be able to use an art card in the cam slot on the TV. You would need a seperate digital satellite receiver and the correct cam.
