    what expenses am i likely to encounter if i plan to skip inspections (someone over there has already had a good look at it for me and the garage will have it mot'd for the sale).


    also, where is the best place to look online for a ferry and what should i expect it to cost?

    Just flight/ferry/petrol/food - there's been a thread here in the past few days about ferries. Do you need to get a HPI check?

    Although if you're buying from a main dealer they've probably done one already. I'd suggest asking them for a copy. For ferries, I've used Stena Line, although Irish Ferries are also an option.

    Ibought from a dealer - they gave me a HPI cert
