Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's a whole category dedicated to computers you know..
Boards.ie isn't just AfterHours, nor is Afterhours the place you just post threads when you're not arsed finding the right forum for it.

To answer your question, I know of nowhere you can download it, maybe try Googling it.
Or, go to start > Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Add programs and then click "from CD or Floppy" and stick your windows CD in and see if you can install it from there.

Rb_ie just report the threads that need to be moved, there's no need to post in the threads about it.

    Anyways, moved from AH.

i only posted it here because there is more chance of people seing it huh? its a general question that pelpe might actually know,, rather than waiting on a computer expert to get around to it.

Thats against the AfterHours charter too :)

But I'd say give my above suggestion a shot, doubt there's anywhere you can download it legally anyway.

The link disappeared, or the executable(.exe)? Try Start, Run and type mspaint and see if that works. If you dont have the MS cd then you will have to search the net for it. Try a similar program like the one here

    Under XP?

mspaint.exe the executable usually is in the folder c:\windows\system32

If it runs from there, then you don't need to reinstall, just recreate a shortcut.
    Go to the folder c:\documents and settings\<your username>\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories
    Go to menu file\ new\Shortcut
and enter in the path 'c:\windows\system32\mspaint.exe'

    Otherwise to reinstall,
    Start\Control Panel\Add Remove Programs
    Add/Remove Windows Components\
The top entry should be Accessories and Utilities. Click once to highlight and click 'details' button.
Next Page has the entries 'Accessories' and 'Games'. Highlight Accessories and press the details Button.
The last subcomponent listed should be Paint.
If it hasn't got a tickmark, tick it and click OK>OK>Next>Finish.

If it has a tickmark, Untick it and click OK>OK>Next>Finish, to unregister
Then repeat the above procedure to reinstall

Although alot more powerful, there's also The Gimp http://www.gimp.org/

Or there's Paint.NET for something with power and a decent interface.

But ressem's solution is most likely enough for the OP.

for those who don't like the interface have a look at combining it with gimpshop (it's not 100% stable / bug free yet)
