An idea: Battle of the Bands

    This might be considered a 'game thread' but I just wanted to pitch the idea anyway because we did it on the Sepultura forum and it was hugely popular and made some good debates.
    Basically, you pm me your favourite 10 rock/metal bands. The first 16 bands that get nominated twice go into the competition.
    Then, once the 16 bands are in, we have a last 16/quarter finals/semi finals/final threads, in which there's a poll asking which band you prefer between the two.

    Just in case I'm unclear, it would work out like:

    Band 1 vs Band 2 Band 1/2 vs Band 3/4
    Band 3 vs Band 4

    Band 5 vs Band 6 Band 5/6 vs Band 7/8
    etc until the final.
    Band 7 vs Band 8

    Band 9 vs Band 10 Band 9/10 vs Band 11/12
    Band 11 vs Band 12

    Band 13 vs Band 14 Band 13/14 vs Band 15/16
    Band 15 vs Band 16
