So your friend writes about 1000 words in 10minutes?100words a minute?Or a Word every 1.7 seconds

I don't know the exact word count. But if it works out at that, yeah he did. It's amazing what last minute panic does to a person! This was leftover homework now. He was ****ed afterwards he wouldn't be able to keep that up for any longer.

Just glancing through the posts, why the f.u.c.k. is everyone on about how many pages they wrote. That means fcuk all, its the quality that count not quantity!

    ahhh...
    i think i hopefully passed
    *fingers crossed*
i didn't even get it finished...left out one of the 60 mark questions
    and my abq was shocking
i did the business course in one year and the teacher was ****e, so i guess its to be expected.
    i just hope i passed.
the supervisor gave me an extra 10 minutes and then i gave him the paper cos i felt bad for keeping him
but my friend was in there 10 minutes after i left still writing.
    he was lovely.

I also wrote about Price and Promotion. For price, I jsut mentioned the different types of pricing (Premium, Cost Plus, Predatory, Competitive etc.) and also mentioned the factors that influence price (Quality, Demand, Cost etc.)

For Promotion, I went on about the different types of promotion (Discounts, Special Offers, Sponsorship etc.

All in all, it was a very easy test. I was specifically delighted with my ABQ and Report in Question 7.

Same as myself, just hoping that I passed and I also left out one full question worth 60marks.
    Really hope I passed.

Ah think I might have messed up my ABQ you know the way part A is norm from the 1st par & B is from the 2ed par. I taught there wasnt enuf info in the first par so I took it from all over the ABQ. Was I right in doing that?

that paper was so long but relatively straight forward. i only had 4 pages left of the booklet at the end. crazy stuff and i wrote so fast at the end to get the last q finished that my hand-writing must b fairly bad.

I wrote 20 pages.Thought it was grand.Hopefully did enough to get some sort of A.

are you all thick? do you honestly believe the more pages you write the better you do? absolute bollocks. Basic Rule in buiness, divide by 5 to get the number of points required, most examiners will be royally pissed reading through 20 pages of waffle and rightly so.

oh and I cant believe you all actually counted, very sad, very sad indeed.

Are you sure about that chasey? While I've always been a believer in concise answers, quantity is always what gets the grade in JC/LC AFAIK..

I wrote 7-8 including extra questions (with small writing).

I probaly wrote around 8 pages also but I didnt count. 20 pages is a load of ****e in my opinion. I just find the fact that people need to state the amount of pages they wrote as if it equals how well they did stupid.

    Chasey,

Edit: Seems I thought this was the biology thread. Poor Show.

In the part where you had to draw up a business plan, did you just make your own assumptions on finances needed, etc? It didn't state that when it usually does and it confused the hell out of me

It's a bit strange really, looking at the past papers they usually ask a few weird questions that require you to manipulate information a bit. With the general thrust of this Leaving Cert leaning towards 'independent thinking' and that lark, I'm somewhat surprised that this exam was so... basic. Questions 1 and 5 in particular were verging on the ridiculous, and there was not one difficult short question as far as I can recall. The entire exam was one of time management, appropriately enough.

i thought those were a difficult set of short q's, quite a lot of part (b)'s to them aswell making it difficult to bluff - you might get one answer out of luck but 2 is testing you. ive seen a lot easier tbh.

that said i got 80/80 in the pre's and there was enough choice today for me to replicate my pre results.

business exam is the toughest time - wise. i got it spot on as i'd planned it to precision. i like being under pressure though, it's sort of a race to the finish line as not many people can write down everything they're asked in that time.

im well happy with my performance today, even happier with the fact that a lot of people struggled to finish the paper :)

I guess with the short questions they're only easy if you know the answer as Chris Tarrant would say.

For the record I am equally pleased with my performance today, and I think I officially beat smemon because I was writing to the last second in history as well as business today, and got both finished! Military precision indeed!
