Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No he didn't. Bridging mode isn't the same as DMZ.

In Bridging mode, the Netopia doesn't do the PPPoE login, that's the responsibility of a device behind the Netopia. In DMZ Mode, one internal machine is nominated to receive all inbound traffic that isn't associated with any other NATted machine on the LAN. If Weeders firewall doesn't support PPPoE, then DMZ mode might be more suitable for him.

Netopia uses the term "NAT Default Host" for DMZ mode. The procedure is documented here.
