wreck diving in Tramore

    anyone got any ideas or links on wreck diving in the Tramore bay region, my understanding that theres a couple of hundred wrecks out there. sounds interesting

    Height of Wreck: Scattered Admiralty Chart No: 1410 and/or 2049
    Hull Material: Iron Latitude: 52 07.40 North
    Type of Seabed: Rocks Longitude: 07 06.40 West
    Average Visibility: 20m Diving Experience: Experienced Novice

    Diving Information:

    Lies in a small bay near Newtown Head immediately below the 3 towers of the Metal Man, about half way between a huge rock and the cliff on the left hand side.
    In 10 - 12m close inshore and lying in an East-West direction.
    Subject to South or South-East winds and seas.
    Dive at slack High Water.



    Historical Information:

    Built 1861 by Jones of Liverpool and was owned by Fletcher & co., Liverpool.
    She measured 16.89 x 5.53 x 3.14 metres and grossed 117 tons.
    Ran onto the rocks at the Metal Man while bound for Liverpool from Tramore with a cargo of linseed oil.
    Twenty-seven of the 30 crew were rescued.
    Captain was H. Parsall.
