    Neither. Amd x2 3800+ tbh.

Pentium D, although I would choose a AMD X2 over the Pentium D, for various reasons, including power usage and heat output; both are less on the X2.

My arch-penis is bigger than krazy's or Wizzard's.

    Google PA Semi.

Mabye it is but it's what you do with it, not how big it is.

    Google PA Semi.

using "ftw" makes your post completely impotent

Did anyone else notice that a Pentium D 3ghz is only a tenner more expensive than a Pentium 4 3ghz??????

What kind of pricing is that? "save a tenner for half the performance"

Its called the pentium D is new so all the price cuts are transferred onto it. The normal 3.0ghz is old stock and they wont sell it for less than they bought it for. So the nearly 40% price cut hasnt been applied.

So should i go for a AMD processor?

I have 800-850 to spend on upgrading my PC.

    I need
    Processor
    Graphic card
    Hand drive (250gig)
    Motherboard
    RAM 2gig
    Sound card
    Power supply

So i dont want to spend all my money on a processor.

I'm trying to break it down like this

    Processor €250-€300
    Graphic card €150-€200
    Hand drive (250gig) €90
    Motherboard €90-€120
    RAM 2gig €100-€150
    Sound card €50?
    Power supply €100

    so thats about 800 - 900
I was looking at this processor in the AMD range.

can anyone tell me what i would need that will work with this Processor. Also if you could link me to Komplett and i can buy it.

    thanks for the help.
