Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey all,

    Four of my mates and I want to form a 5-a-side footy team. We have the talent and the desire but are missing two vital ingredients:

    1 - An astro turf pitch
    2 - A team to play

    We all live in Dundrum but that would not restrict us from travelling to a pitch further away.

    Has anyone any idea where we could play at the same time every week? Also, are there any teams out there willing to play us?

    astro.ie started apr 7th.. too late..

    not sure i'd like the indoor one.. astro turf is much better.

    Im sure a new league will be starting later in the summer.

    You and your mates should use the next couple of weeks to do some fitness training. Or else you'll be seriously fecked come match time :p

    Also remember that if you join a 5-a-side league you will need 7 players, 2 of which will be subs. Although I think they may have increased the subs to 3?

    You can play with just the 5 but unless you're really really fit you'll be destroyed by a team that has subs at their disposal.
