Any of ye passing through Carlow of a Sunday afternoon and are interested in seeing an interesting little military collection then I'd recommend the already mentioned museum, great display of uniforms, weapons, kit and documents from the 1800's to the present day, check out the site below for a more detailed description:

I've heard its great, but I've not been able to get in. It's on my summer to-do list. Sunday afternoon you say?

And on that note, if anyone is ever in Leeds, I strongly reccomend that you go see the Royal Armouries museum. I spent best part of two hours in the war gallery alone, and parts of it weren't open. I was told you should put aside a whole day to see it fully.

If you wander further afield Samur Tank Museum in France is worth a visit.

Sorry Undergod for the late responce  , forgot about this thread.

I was up the museum again yesterday, they have a nice little display of knights armour and such, repro stuff, but interesting to see all the same. Sunday afternoons, yes, the times are on the site and the days it is shut. Nice display to be seen!

I second that. While you're there, look at the troglodyte caves too!
